This is one of the flowers at a party for Linda this past Friday to honor her retirement from teaching preschool.
I included a note from a friend in New Hampshire after the picture, which says it all about her.
Congratulations on your retirement!
Several years ago, I was working at PicutreTel. I worked with a man ... and long story short, I discovered that you were his daughter's ... preschool teacher.
I remember distinctly of him telling me that you were not only an amazing teacher, whom his daughter adored, but that you took the time to give his wife some valuable child rearing advice (only after she asked).
He said that he felt you were truly gifted and that his daughter would remember you her whole life, even though she was so young when she had you as a teacher.
I'm quite positive that you have had a similar affect on countless others; kids and their families. You're such a kind and patient person, whose calling was to teach and to mold these little kids lives.
I'm sure you will be sorely missed be the kids, their parents, and your peers, as you mis them, but I know you'll find plenty of things to keep you occupied in your retirement. I'll bet your grandsons are excited to have more of your time.
NOTE: I did not include any names due to having not asked permission, and I have to say that I agree 100%.
PS: the note and the writer are greatly appreciated.

The flower is lovely! and it's very nice and respectful of you to leave out my name sans my permission so I'll out myself! I take credit for my rants and when I write something nice... ha-ha.
ReplyDeleteLinda Carroll is a very special lady and teacher, that's for sure - Happy Retirement and Happy mother's day to her.
