Other priorities have taken me away from taking pictures, which has happened often lately.
This mushroom is along side our driveway and an opportunity to take a few pictures. It was taken in the middle of the afternoon.
I cropped and adjusted the black in the second picture.

I enjoy Black and White photographs as much as ones in full color. Each have their place and present different effects. One can set their camera to B & W or change the digital photo with post-processing software, as I did in the picture below. The advantage to post-processing is that you have both versions.
I did this photograph (Tennessee Aquarium, which was posted previously) because of the lines and shape and the contrast that the sky creates.

It is a Pop-Over? Is it some of that delicious bread from the Longhorn Restaurant? Or I am just trying to be a fun guy...?
One day this fungi was not there and the next it is and it was large. It did look like a loaf of bread when I drove up our driveway last evening, but after viewing it on the computer, I think that it is more like a Pop-Over. Do they put sesame seeds on them?

This Knock Out Rose was poolside at our grandson Ben's 7th birthday party yesterday. Obviously, it has been processed and I think of this as 'Photo Art,'

It was wet and foggy when I left the house and this picture is from the top of our driveway. For some reason, maybe morbidity, it caused me to think about 'Jack the Ripper' without the London Bridge.

I think that someone is hoping for a kiss... Both are from the same picture only the top one was cropped to isolate the frog and his lily pad.

This butterfly had me on 'ignore' and let me get close for the pictures. As with the Dragonfly yesterday, the subject did not stay still. It never stopped flittering, fluttering, and flapping it's wings.
Fortunately, Linda had a book and was sitting on a bench while I tried to get the picture. The pictures are taken with the camera being hand held and not on a tripod or monopod.

We went to Gibbs Gardens this afternoon and ended up being interested in some Butterflies, Dragon Flies, a frog, and Water Lilies.
Here is one of the the Dragon Flies. Click once on the picture to see the wings.

It is difficult to believe that I would go a week without taking a picture, but the schedule at work and home is such that it has happened.
This picture is of the Cumming City Hall, which I took some time ago. It obviously has been 'photo-shopped' and gives it a different look.
