April 30, 2012

It is that time of year and it will not be long before the pools are open.  This is the pool in our sub-division.

More flowers from Cumming.  This time they are at Walmart and, along with nursery places, are a great place to look at flowers.  I have discovered that there are so many varieties.

Who names them?

April 28, 2012

I was in downtown Cumming early this morning to have my tires balanced at Bagwell and Mathis Tire, who I would highly recommend, and I took a walk with my camera while they did the balancing.

The yellow flower was outside their facility, the hot-air balloons floated by along with two others, and the sky was great today with the clouds and the rising sun.

This guy survived a fall, although he was not sitting on a wall, Linda's king man put him back together with Super Glue.  Great stuff.

I counted 22 bunnies items downstairs at our home.  Not too bad considering that we had 65 birdhouse items in our home in New Hampshire.

What is it?  It is a piece of obscure glass in the sidelight of our front door taken after dusk with an inside light glowing.

Just how does one identify the gender of geese. a commander from a gander?

The picture of the goose squawking at the truck bumper is because it sees it's reflection.

April 24, 2012

The photograph is of a design which is one of many available from The Rainbow Dragon (www.rainbowdragon.net), however, this was purchased at an street art show in Chattanooga.  The artwork is black on white and you get to color it with colored markers, as this one was colored by Lucy Ceraso.  I added the autograph on the bottom.

It has been found to be very therapeutic for many things or just a great past-time.  Visit the website for more information.

April 24, 2012

I mentioned on Saturday, April 21, that we went to the English Rose Tea Room in Chattanooga, which is located on Market Street, near the Choo-Choo.  Here are two pictures.

The other picture, the horse jumped over the building, looks as if I pasted a horse on another picture.  Not so, it is a weathervane and I erase the post. Either way, it is post-processing.

April 23, 2012

Today was not a great day for taking photos; cold, windy, and more cold.  This shot is of an silk flower arrangement reflection in a mirror in one of our bedrooms.

April 22, 2012

I was surprises to go out front this evening to find one of the Azalea bushes was starting to bloom.  The Azaleas have come and gone at our home except for this late bloomer.

April 21, 2012

We went to Chattanooga yesterday to go to the English Rose Tea room, which is a British tea room.  It is 'very charming' for the ladies.  During the weekday, there are English waitstaff, but not necessarily on the weekends.

However, after that, we went down Market Street to the river.  This picture was taken at the Tennessee Aquarium Plaza.  To me, this picture has so many components; lines, color, contrast, and shapes.

The second picture is where I had David Ceraso pose.  I have this picture entitled, "If one is good, two must be better."

Quaint country road?  Quaint, yes; country road, no.  This is the entrance to one of the many recreational parks in Forsyth County, GA, which is Fowler Park.  When it comes to parks, they do it right!

April 19, 2012

Somedays it just does not work out the way you want.  I was trying to take a macro (very close up) shot and I did not like the results.  So, I converted this picture to Black and White, which gives it an effect that I enjoy.  Kind of like the old Black and White movies that has the starlet looking dreamy.  It is one way to salvage a poor picture.

April 18, 2012

This could be the last picture of Linda doing her lesson plans.  This is the last year of  teaching, although she will still be involved with the preschool.

The flowers are in front of our home and it is amazing how they just about bloomed over night.

April 18, 2012

As Forrest would say, "Stupid is as stupid does."  Not only is the car parked in a handicap space but cannot seem to get within the lines.

The driver is a golfer visiting an Edwin Watts store.  A golfer,,,you know, someone who chases a little white ball around a field and tries to get it in a hole.  Oooops, that could be 'moi.'

What is it?

I know that this is the final day to file your Income Tax with the IRS, but this is not the big hole that the government uses to swallow our money.  Any guesses?

"She loves me...She loves me not"  Linda chose daisies for our wedding and when I saw these this morning, I thought about our wedding and Linda.  Gues what?  She still loves me!  And it is mutual.

April 15, 2012

It is easy to guess how the first photo was taken.  Look at the second photo.  Instead of taking a picture of something that is there, I thought of an idea and then set it up.  Unfortunately, it is more time consuming, but worth it.

April 14, 2012

We were on the way home last evening and I had not taken a picture for today and we drove by some horse grazing.  Turned around to take a picture of this horse, which was grazing in the middle of the field.

I got out of the car and she came right over to the gate.  I looked her in the the eye and knew we had an immediate friendship.

Finally, I can say that I have a female eating out of my hand...

April 13, 2013

I have posted an Infrared photo recently which was all white, having desaturated the color.  I played around with this photo on Photoshop Elements and came up with an unusual presentation.

April 13, 2012

Here are six pictures from Gibbs Garden and these will probably be the last until we go back next month.

April 11, 2012

I used the picture of the sky from yesterday with a picture that I took today of the Globe and Bible in front of First Redeemer Church and put them together.  This allow me to do away with the power lines and homes across the street that were in the background.

I have more pictures from Gibb's Garden and these are of the Japanese Garden.  Remember to click once on the photo to enlarge it.
